After the successful, sold out “Taste of Surf City”, our inaugural event in 2019, we attempted to repeat it in 2021. However, due to COVID we chose to cancel.
We are now very pleased to announce a social event for members only in September of 2024!
Here are the details:
What: “SCTA Members Cocktail Party”, It is a member-only cocktail party. We will be serving hors d’oeuvres and desserts. A cash bar for beer and wine will be provided.
When: Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Where: Surf City Hotel – 800 Long Beach Boulevard, Surf City
What is the cost: Tickets are $35 per person. This not a fundraiser and SCTA will be covering any additional costs for this event.
Who’s eligible to attend:
- SCTA members who have joined in 2024 and paid dues no later than August 1, 2024.
- Members who purchase tickets by Sept 4, 2024 — pending availability (meaning, while tickets are still available; the 2019 ticket supply did sell out prior to the event).
- SC Hotel capacity is limited to 300 people, so we can only accommodate 2 people per member household — aged 21 or over, please.
- Since our current membership is over 700 households, we expect this event to sell out so we cannot offer more than 2 household members. We understand this limitation and ask that you refrain from asking to add more than 2 people per household.
How to get tickets: If you are a paid SCTA member by August 1, 2024, you can purchase tickets in 2 two ways:

The 2019 event, held in the upstairs portion of the Yacht Club with a capacity of 150, was a sold-out affair. For 2024, we’ve chosen another venue so that we can expand the event. We will be taking over the entire club — with double the capacity (now 300). As our membership has grown significantly since 2019, if you’re interested in attending, we encourage you to purchase your tickets soon!
