Mike,

I hope this e-mail finds you well.  I am writing tonight wearing two hats, first as President of Surf City Fire  & EMS I would like to say thank you and the members of the Surf City Taxpayers Association for your donation of $1,000 to the company.  Please share our gratitude for this donation and for the on-going support your members have given us for many years.  Changing hats I am also writing in my role on the governing body as the chairman of the Beach Fees/Beach Replenishment Committee with an update on the beaches of Surf City.  I have attached a document which I hope will give your members and the citizens of Surf City an idea of where we stand with the beaches so please share as widely as you can.  Again, many thanks.

Surf City Beach Status- March 1, 2013

Special Donation to the Volunteer Fire Company

The Surf City Taxpayers Association made a special donation of $1,000 to the Surf City Volunteer Fire Company. At the February 13 Borough Council Meeting, President Mike Ippolito presented the check on behalf of the Board of Trustees and members of the Organization, to Councilman James Russell, who is also the Vice President of the Fire Company. The purpose of the donation was to express our organization’s gratitude for their outstanding work and support related to the Hurricane Sandy disaster.

This special donation was made in addition to one made to the Fire Company in 2012 for $1,000 to assist with their ongoing operations. The Taxpayers Association makes donations every year to various local organizations and causes based on funds received from dues and donations of their members.
