Surf City is in the process of applying for funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to repair the beach accesses at 20th and 21st streets. Assistance through the Federal Control and Coastal Emergency Act won’t be available until sometime next year. Please use extreme caution when trying to navigate these areas.
The new causeway span will be open to Eastbound traffic as the old span will be closed for repair work. As always drive extra careful when crossing the causeway. There will be only one lane each way.
