By now the winter storm known as “Jonas” we experienced here in new Jersey is just a memory. But is has left it’s mark here in Surf City. Take caution if trying to access the beach from many of the public and private access points. The erosion is quite severe at many of these points. Holgate also had similar erosion and dump truck loads of fill were trucked in to alleviate the problem. At this point in time the access points are still taped off with yellow caution tape here in Surf City so again, use extreme caution if trying to get down to the beach.
