A Sign Of The Times

Our own beloved lifelong Surf City resident artist Cathleen Engleson has been quite busy lately! She is a recent recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts for Ocean County,  a historical artist -Cathleen painted the new Farmer’s Market sign. Design, layout and lettering was done by the talented graphic designer Michele Guerriero of Shore Design. Dave Wright completed the construction and labor intensive paint prep for this 6ft. sign.

Also she has painted a water barrel to catch rainwater. It will be at the firehouse for you to bid on at the  Surf City Bazaar and auction in July!

An item of interest is the beach access repairs on the north end of town. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers  will move forward in Surf City in mid-June, weather permitting, but the accesses damaged by winter storm Jonas will have to be repaired by the town. Full Sandpaper article here.
