Winter Storm Stella Beach Erosion

The north end of Surf City, specifically the stretch between 17th St and 19th streets, were eroded severely on Tue, March 14th by winter storm Stella. Please use caution when attempting to gain access to the beach in this area. The winter storm had hurricane force winds with a long duration, large wave heights, and a strong full moon lunar cycle.

Traffic Shifts and Beach Status

Click here for an important SandPaper update on the traffic pattern and status of the causeway construction.

Here are some pictures of the Surf City beaches towards the north end. It looks like there is some moderate erosion and the lunar cycle high tide combined with a fairly strong swell on 2/15 showed a limited beach available.

Winter Storm Leo

We hope everyone has stayed safe throughout this powerful storm. Surf City had moderate flooding through several high tide cycles but it looks like the worse areas were the typical problematic spots.
